Your Guide to Getting Permitted

All food businesses will follow the SCDA protocol for getting permitted. Retail foods i.e. Food trucks, bakers, caterers serve food for immediate consumption.
Wholesale foods i.e. Sauces, jams, packaged food products for sale by a third-party vendor (i.e. grocery stores)​
Food Protection Manager Certification
A requirement for your SCDA Retail Permit, this certification typically lasts for 5 years. There are several companies who offer this certification, so please check that you are getting the right certification required by the SCDA.
